About Collaboratory

demo Launched in 2023, Collaboratory is working to improve the speed and quality of pandemic and epidemic decision making by connecting global communities and individuals to expertise, best practices, collaborative analysis, and each other.

Recent history has highlighted important gaps and challenges in the way the public health and pandemic and epidemic intelligence (PEI) communities’ access, analyze, and use information to prepare and respond to pandemics and epidemics. Meanwhile, the global PEI community has lacked a common unified space to address shared challenges, retain knowledge and build on best practices.

By focusing on the principles of collaboration and on building an environment of trust, Collaboratory is creating the enabling environment for new and existing communities to come together to address key analytical questions and co-create better, timelier, and more accessible insights to support evidence-based decision making. These quality analyses and insights answer the most relevant and pressing pandemic and epidemic intelligence questions building on the foundations of tried and tested results and methods, validated among peers.

Collaboratory serves as both a safe community within which to ask questions, share and problem-solve among peers as well as a place to access resources and expertise, find relevant analyses and discussion, and connect to new communities.
